COMPANY INFORMATION

Over 40 years of Industry Leadership

Frost & Sullivan was founded in 1961 in New York City with a specific mission to provide world-class market consulting information and intelligence on emerging high-technology and industrial markets.  The company soon developed a reputation as one of the world's leading companies in growth consulting and corporate training.  Now well into its fourth decade, Frost & Sullivan has won a worldwide reputation for high-quality growth consulting in more than 300 major industries.

 Pioneering many firsts

Through the 1960s, Frost & Sullivan pioneered market consulting, monitoring new technologies, tracking changes in distribution channels, forecasting market trends, and performing strategic analysis of competitors.

In the 1970s, Frost & Sullivan established a European headquarters in London and developed the first pan-European growth consulting reports.  The company founded its Corporate Training division in 1972.  Today, it is one of Europe's premier corporate training centers.  The training focuses on corporate management, leadership skills, sales and marketing, data communications, and information technology.

In the 1980s, Frost & Sullivan developed the Market Engineering Consulting system and began working directly with clients to address key industry issues, challenges and opportunities.

Frost & Sullivan concluded the final decade of the 20th century through to the early years of the 21st century with the introduction of yet more innovative customer-focused solutions in the form of the Decision Support Database (DSD) and Country Industry Forecast (CIF) services, offering clients robust analysis and forecasting tools to aid in business planning.  In that same period, Frost & Sullivan acquired Technical Insights (TI) adding a superior technology research capability to its suite of services providing intelligence to executives and technology managers worldwide on technical developments that are poised for rapid growth.

Continuing our leadership into Asia Pacific

Spurred by strong customer demand and market opportunities, the 1990s saw Frost & Sullivan’s foray into the Asia Pacific region with research and consulting offices in Singapore, China, India and Japan.

At the start of the 21st century, Frost & Sullivan further expanded operations in Asia Pacific with offices in Malaysia, Australia and South Korea.  Today, we operate in 11 offices across the region.
In 2004, we developed our Growth Partnership Services which integrates our all research teams to fully support our clients’ decision making process through our new Growth Consulting Model and methodologies.  Our new approach of delivering value to clients has earned us the reputation as the leading Global Growth Consulting Company.

In 2005, Frost & Sullivan was ranked #1 in the industry in terms of revenue growth.  Frost & Sullivan has consistently outperformed the average industry growth rates of the research, information and consulting industry.
